Kathryn Best will be inaugurated as head of the research group (Lector) Cross-media, Brand, Reputation & Design Management (CBRD). January 27th she will express her inaugural address at  Inholland University of Applied Sciences in Rotterdam. 

 

Kathryn Best has been in the design business for twenty years and regularly consults and guest lectures for both academia and industry on design management and the creative industries. Kathryn is author of two books, Design Management: Managing Design Strategy, Process & Implementation (AVA 2006, now in ten languages) and The Fundamentals of Design Management (AVA 2010). She also wrote several book reviews. Kathryn was in the Creative Industries Panel at the World Congress of Information Technology (WCIT) 2010 in Amsterdam. With her point of view and style she brings new flavor in the world of design and design thinking as a tool for innovation and change in the context of business, society,culture and the environment. 

Centre for Cross-media, Brand, Reputation & Design Management

The Centre for Cross-media, Brand, Reputation & Design Management (CBRD) is in Rotterdam. The Research Group conducts applied research investigations into the strategic and practical management of brands, products, services and organizations. There are four areas of expertise in the CBRD: Cross-Media: the opportunities for cross-media integration in small and large-scale organizations Brand Management: the competitive positioning of brands for short and long-term success Reputation Management: how to improve organizational identity and stakeholders relationships Design Management: the potential for design in business and strategy.
